Are your "ducks in a row?"

These are Lacey's favorite toys right now. She loves to teethe on these cute little rubber ducks. I took the photo for a scrapbook page, but it really got me thinking. I tried to post this last night, and the power went out for two hours - and that got me thinking even more. Do I have everything my family needs in case of an emergency? I don't have a year supply - of anything. I've got work to do. There is so much a family of six would need, and right now we are not ready. I need to get "my ducks in a row," do you?

Caleb's Baptism

What a special day. I cried the entire time, the spirit was strong. Caleb wanted to bear his testimony - he did such a good job. He looked like a little man standing there. I could picture him, 19, bearing his testimony before he left for his mission. That day will be here before I know it.
Travis baptized Caleb and my father confirmed him. Per request of the Bishop, I had a list of those who would be allowed to stand in the confirmation circle. The names were read out loud. STILL, one person, even though his name was NOT called, invited himself into the circle. I still cannot believe the gall. I didn't say anything - I didn't want to spoil the spirit there. The Stake President may hear about it though. Oh well, I did all I could.
Thanks to ALL who participated in Caleb's baptism. It will be a day we never forget.

Caleb is EIGHT!

We've been celebrating Caleb's 8th Birthday all week! On April 12, we went to Grandma and Grandpas's where Caleb got a "real" watch. He's been telling me what time is was non-stop! When we got home, we sang Happy Birthday, and he blew out the candle in his cupcake. His party would be the next day, at Skateland, but we couldn't wait that long to sing to him. He got a "Kids Bop" CD on Thursday. We decided to save his big surprises for the party.Uncle Dale and Aunt Moriah brought him a Swiss Army Knife - cooool. Grandma Pinkey and Grandpa Herman also dropped by witha nice gift $$$$$! Travis and I gave him Heelys and an air soft pistol and rifle - watch out world! BIG thanks to all our friends and family for your gifts and for making Caleb's 8th birthday so very special!

Chuck E. Cheese!

I'm extremely blessed to have a best friend, Cindy, who has the amazing ability to make every moment FUN! She has the best plans for fun little escapes that always make the best memories. We could talk for hours about nothing and about everything, and I never worry for a second that it's not all confidential. She has taken care of me when I thought my whole world had come to an end - she was even my Friday night date for a while! hehe! I love ya, girlie! BFF
Cindy and I took some of our brood to Chuck E. Cheese for a fun night. Everyone had a blast playing all the games and eating delicious, greasy pizza!

Random Easter shots

This Easter was different than normal. It was Jimmy's weekend with Caleb and Dylan so I didn't get as many pictures as normal. They did get to come to the Easter Egg Hunt at church though. I was so glad. They found lots of eggs and collected lots of loot! Cody went fishing with his dad instead of egg hunting. This was Lacey's first Easter so she got a big red wagon for the yard!

Caleb - Almost Eight

On April 12, 2007 Caleb will be eight years old! Where did my baby go? I remember when I quit teaching to stay home with him - I thought he would be so little forever. Caleb has grown into such a smart, loving, gifted young man - and soon he will be baptized. Wow. These are a few of his photos from his "pre-babtism" shoot. My little man...all in white.

Lacey's Spring Photos

Lacey and I decided one nice warm morning to take a few Easter basket photos. I think I've bought her about seven "Easter" dresses - hehe, so it was hard deciding on this one! However, the pink/white polka dots turned out great againt the beautiful green grass and flowers! I can't believe Lacey is almost nine months old!
