I made this dress for Lacey today. I saw one online and found some online instructions - no pattern, but a few instructions. I had to "wing" the rest. I'm pretty excited about this one because I got to use my new embroidery machine for all the detail on the front, and becasue I actually figured out how to make it on my own. This dress has an heirloom quality about it too - I love it! Lacey will be wearing this one to church tomorrow!

My new toy...
Since I am officially a sewing addict these days, I had to get the perfect accessory. So, my wonderful hubby bought me this:
It's a sewing/embroidery machine! I'm having so much fun. Here you see it working on a Palmetto tree and Crescent - I'm testing on a scrap before I move on to better things.

Baseball Trophies
All the boys are finished with another fabulous baseball season. They did such as awesome job. I'm already looking forward to next year - although a break from 5 nights a week and all day Saturdays of practice/games will be nice! Cody's banquet was at The Elk's Lodge - it was really dark and my photos aren't great.

Modeling....
Okay, so Lacey was in a very wiggly mood - she seems to be in a very wiggly mood 24/7, but I got a few photos of her "modeling" one of my homemade dresses. I think she's too cute - but I'm a bit biased!

Congratulations Uncle Dale!
Congratulations to my brother, Dale, who just landed an awesome new job. Uncle Dale always sets such a wonderful example for my children. They love him to death and so do I! I'm so glad he has been blessed with this amazing opportunity!
Sewing Update
These photos are terrible, but I got a little more done today. Now I need a break! I had my yellow seersucker dress embroidered. LOVE the ducks, and I put duck buttons on. I finished this pink and green paisley - just need to put a ribbon bow on the front. I'm going to focus on "autumnish" dresses next!

Sewing, Sewing, Sewing
Thanks to sewing lessons from my mom, I'm off and running making Lacey some cute little dresses. Cindy and I are both sewing addicts and hope to create closets full of pretty dresses for our girls. These photos are terrible - I'll do better when I dress my little model! This one is Lacey's "Party" dress. It a little more fancy than the rest I've made.
This is her July 4th Patriotic Dress. I did a sloppy job tying those ribbons!
Blogger is putting all my photos in the wrong order so I'll try a slide show instead!
