Saturday was a rainy, nasty day. I really didn't care that it was raining though, mainly because it was my weekend with my boys. Since they couldn't venture outside, the trusty container of Hot Wheels made an appearance from the depths of the closet. They probably haven't played with them in a year. Watching them play brought back wonderful memeories of them when they were 3 and 5 years old and they played with their Hot Wheels every single day. Now they are almost 8 and 10. It always amazed me how little boys seemed to know how to make the "vroom vroom" noise as soon as they were big enough to push a car/tractor. Caleb and Dylan spent several hours examining cars they had forgotton they had, and then slamming them into one another as they whooshed across the hardwood floor. This was a day I loved being a mom to boys!

Hunter can even distinguish and correct me between the car noises and motorcycle noises!
You're so right about that vroom sound. Paul used to love the remote control cars, and reading your post brought back some sweet memories for me too. How did my sweet little boy grow up to be a man so quickly?
