Dylan is 6!!!!!

Dylan had a great 6th birthday party. Lots of friends came over to celebrate with an awesome Spiderman cupcake cake. Dylan was so excited. His birthday is after Cody and Caleb's, so it seems that he has to wait forever. Dylan "finally" as he puts it got his Heely's. Grandma and Grandpa gave him a portable CD player and Grandma Pinkey and Grandpa Herman gave him $25 (Dylan asked why he didn't get $30 like Cody-I told him that Cody was older. He said, Well, Caleb only got $25 and he's older. hehehe I had to laugh. Kids pick up on EVERYTHING!). He got lots of gifts and I'm not going to list them all, but a big thanks to everyone!

Ten years ago (May, 1997)I graduated from Columbia College with a degree in English. It was a major accomplishment for me in my life. I remember that feeling as I walked across the stage thinking, "I finally made it." I remember hoping (and knowing) that my parents were proud of me. I wanted them to be able to say that their daughter was a college graduate. One day I will use (make money!) with my English degree. Right now, children are a priority. I know they benefit everyday from their mom's education though. I also know that what I've learned, I will take with me when I leave this life. You can't say that about "stuff." So, happy anniversary to me! I had to include a photo of a future alumnae - my little Koala!

Cody is 11!

Cody's birthday morning started with opening his Miami Heat jersey so he could wear it to school. His dad had to try it on too - hehe. On Saturday we had a party and I had a house FULL of boys! They had a great time jumping on the trampoline and sliding down our zip line. Cody got Heelys from us - now he just has to learn to use them! Grandma Pinkey and Grandpa Herman gave him $30 (that's a lot of $ for a kid!) and my parents gave him the awesome movie, "Night at the Mueseum."

Baseball x 3

We're almost through the season and it has been amazing to watch our boys play. Everyone has made so much improvement from last year. Cody is hitting 100% better, Caleb has mastered the pitcher/shortstop positions throwing some major fast balls to first base for dozens of "outs," and Dylan is hitting the heck out of the ball - and not off a tee this time! We've had a fabulous season. Playing baseball has strengthened their coordination, friendships, made them sharper mentally and has given them all a major sense of accomplishment. I'm so proud of them!
