Valentine's Day Snapshots

What a nice day. Lacey I were able to go to Caleb and Dylan's Valentine Parties at school. We had lots of sweet stuff to eat and lots of sweet smiles. Cody said that he'd "rather not" have his picture taken today so I went along with him....this time. Today I was showered with roses, chocolate, diamonds (I'm so spoiled)and pink Rainbow flip flops. I have the SWEETEST husband ever. I felt very blessed this Valentine's. Of course, this was Lacey's first *Heart* day, so I took lots of photos!

Our Family

We have oficially been a family for 18 months now. It's hard to believe how fast time has flown by. We've already conquered quite a bit - but there's still work to be done. One of the most important things we can do is to NOT live in the past - don't dwell on stuff that has happened to us in time gone by. Doing this just makes the present more difficult. Travis and I certainly live in the present. I have never been happier or more loved. I wake up every day thankful to be his wife. We can't get everyone to move forward as we do, but as Travis reminds me, all that matters is "what happens in these four walls." I'm not quite as skilled at tuning out the world! My "bestest" buddy, Cindy, took this photo for us after church one week. Travis had a funnier version in mind and had a little fun with it. Truth be known, I like them both!!

Happy Birthday Travis!

I love it that Trav's birthday is in January (the 4th). With all our spring/summer babies, it's nice to celebrate a January birthday. Since Santa brought Travis an air compressor for Christmas, we bought him a nail gun for his birthday. I've since kepy him busy with construction projects! We celebrated this birthday at home, just the six of us, just as Travis likes it best. A Porterhouse for the birthday boy finished out with strawberry cake!

BEWARE!

Yes, he's snapped. One too many long days in the office and he reached the breaking point. Poor pumpkin never had a chance. This raving lunatic also has three young accomplices. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Run and never look back.

State Fair

We had a blast at the fair. Cody, Caleb, and Dylan rode LOTS of rides. I think their favorites were the bumper cars, swings, and the haunted houses. Travis and I ate LOTS. Fiske fries and elephant ears were among our healthy choices! Lacey was an angel the entire time. Big thanks and Kudos to the police officers who gave me a private room at the first aid station to nurse Lacey. I was really impressed. No bottles for this baby!

Comments

My genius (it's true, he is a genius) husband informed me that only registered Bloggers could comment. I've removed that function for a while so that everyone can comment. We will see how it goes. SO - stop being a lurker and leave a comment!

3 months

Lacey is three months old. Time is flying. I've been taking lots of photos in my garage photo studio. FUN!!! I'm enjoying being a mother of a girl - lots of dresses and barrettes for this little one. I'm very protective of my sweet baby. You won't see me passing her around too much. It makes me insane when someone else is holding her and they won't give her to me when she's crying. I know what my baby needs! She needs her Mama! I love my attached little nursling!

Report Cards

1st nine weeks:
Dylan - They don't give grades in kdg., but he did very well and "consistently demonstarted" all his kdg. requirements!!
Caleb - Straight "A's" with a 99 in math!!
Cody - All "B's" and one "A" in Science!! Whohoo!
We avoided "C's" for another nine weeks. We are very proud of our honor roll boys!
