Dick and Jane

I'm loving vintage style fabric lately!! Lacey's newest set:

On another note, I would just like to express my thankfulness for all the sweet women in my life. The Camden Ward has so many women who honestly and sincerely want to help and offer service (or just a listening ear) to anyone in need. Thanks to all those who have sent me their cell numbers and said "call me anytime!" It's nice to have such a support system - they make you feel like "you can do hard things," to quote my friend Laresa! I'm just excited about getting to know everyone better. I've made a promise to myself that I would avoid negativity and be more optimistic. This has made such a difference in my life. Thanks again to the women that have made this same promise to themselves. I know that a phone call from them will not consist of gossip but will be uplifting. This is amazing. Yes, we all need to whine and cry some, we will always have crisis to face; but if we face it with the spirit of Christ in our hearts, I know we will be blessed. I have been blessed immensely these past few months. My eyes have been opened and I'm so thankful for righteous women!!

Such a cute outfit! Love the shoes, too! Thank you for your example and this reminder. I've had a kind of negative attitude for a little while now and felt like I must be in the winter of my life or something...It's looking up, though, I believe and I know I just need to be more positive and practice more faith. I enjoyed reading this post, it's very uplifting and a good reminder to me.

I too think that you are doing a fabulous job! you have grown so muc in just the past month. You are a shining example to us all. I love ya!

Lacey always looks adorable in her handmade outfits. You have a wonderful talent!
I am jealous that Kadee is getting older and will soon not be interested in my handmade outfits. I suppose I could make Gracie and Savannah some matching outfits though.

You know, you're so right about having some fantastic ladies in Relief Society. I LOVE that organization and am so proud to be a part of such a worldwide sisterhood. I have a biological sister whom I love dearly, and yet there's just something especially special about my sisters in the gospel. As an example, about a month ago I went to the library one Sunday afternoon and ran into Shawna M. and one of her daughters. We chatted for several minutes, and when she left, we hugged. I thought about our encounter and told her afterwards that I never remember hugging another person in a library in my entire life, and I've been alive a long time and have frequented more libraries than I can think about. She sort of smiled and said something like, "We're sisters."
